2. Profiling of Volunteer Teachers and Staff
Starting August 12, 2024, a nationwide profiling of volunteer teachers and staff commenced. This initiative aims to verify educators’ credentials and ensure they possess the necessary skills to deliver effective education services across the country.
3. $8.4 Million Investment in Education
In November 2024, the Ministry unveiled a transformative $8.4 million initiative. This investment focuses on integrating over 6,000 volunteer teachers into the national payroll, providing financial security for educators, and enhancing the overall quality of education in Liberia.
4. Suspension of Officials for Non-Compliance
In February 2025, President Joseph Boakai suspended over 450 government officials, including the Ministers of Education and Health, for failing to declare their assets on time. This action is part of a broader anti-corruption drive to promote accountability within the government.
